Today I moved auto-backups from going to the sd card to a server, as this will preserve them should the sd card crash - That got me thinking if it is possible to backup to both the sd card and the server.....?

@jkandasa Of course I will share it ...

I set MyC to back up to a server /mnt/server.
Then made crontab job to copy from the server back to the myc sd card.

No need to worry about sorting by date or anything as MyC backup has been set to only keep so many backups and therefore that is all there will be when I copy the server backup directory back to the SD card.... 🙂

            Problem solved! 😉

              Hi Skywatch,

have you used rsync? that is "the" tool to use for these kind of copy actions.

                global:last-edited-by,

@tag I never used rsync, but will look into it now I know about it! 😉

I still have so much to learn, but it's rewarding in the end 🙂
